The Bauchi State Scholarship Board is responsible for awarding scholarships to indigenes of Bauchi State who are pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, and vocational studies within and outside Nigeria.

The scholarship program aims to support and encourage academic excellence, promote human capital development, and reduce the financial burden on students and their families.

The scholarship board offers various categories of scholarships, including:

1. Undergraduate Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to indigent students who have gained admission into universities, colleges, and polytechnics in Nigeria.
2. Postgraduate Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to indigent students who have been admitted into postgraduate programs in recognized institutions in Nigeria and abroad.
3. Vocational Training Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to indigent students who have been admitted into vocational training institutions in Nigeria.
4. Special Needs Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to physically challenged students who are pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, or vocational studies in recognized institutions in Nigeria.
5. Foreign Undergraduate Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to indigent students who have been admitted into undergraduate programs in recognized foreign institutions.

The scholarship board also offers scholarships for specific categories of students, such as:

1. Science Students Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to science students who are pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies in recognized institutions in Nigeria.
2. Medical Students Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to medical students who are pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies in recognized institutions in Nigeria.
3. Engineering Students Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to engineering students who are pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies in recognized institutions in Nigeria.

To be eligible for any of these scholarships, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Be an indigene of Bauchi State.
2. Have obtained the required academic qualifications for the program applied for.
3. Have secured admission into a recognized institution for the program applied for.
4. Have a good academic record (minimum of second class upper division for undergraduates and a CGPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale for postgraduates).
5. Meet the specific requirements for each category of scholarship applied for (e.g., science, medical, engineering).
6. Be financially needy (proof of income/assets may be required).
7. Meet any other specific requirements for each category of scholarship applied for (e.g., age limit, marital status).
8. Submit a completed application form with all required documents before the deadline specified by the scholarship board.

Application Guidelines For Registration Centers

• New centers are expected to Click on register link and fill the request form
• All Accredited Registration Centers (ARC) are expected to provide an accurate and reliable data.
• Before center should be given an accreditation it must be registerd with cooperate affairs commission (CAC)
• All ARCs are expected to have atleast Three functional Computers with stable internet connection and power backup
• All ARC are expected to charge the sum of One thousand five hundred Naira (N1500) only for the application On behalf of the Scholarship Board which is shared as follows:
  1. One Thousand Naira (N1000) Application form Fees
  2. Two Hundred Naira (N200) Portal Maintenance Fees
  3. Three Hundred Naira (N300) Accredited Center Online Application Charges
• Failure to comply with the above mentioned rules could lead to suspension and perhaps closure of the center
