The FCE Zaria Provost For Implementation of Dual Mode in FCEs
The National Commission for Colleges of Education has selected the Provost of FCE Zaria, Dr Suleiman Balarabe as member of the 20 man Committee constituted by the Commission on the implementation of Dual Mode in Federal Colleges of Education.
The Dual Mode conglomerates the features of both Colleges of Education and Universities, with the Provosts as the heads of the institutions.
As the name “DUAL MODE” implies, if successfully implemented, would give affected Colleges the autonomy to be degree awarding institutions without being affiliated to universities, as well, allows these Colleges to continue awarding their NCE, and other relevant certificates.
The law (Act No. 43 of 2023) was recently signed by the President of the Federal Repubic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
The committee would be chaired by Prof. Faruk Abdulrashid Haroun, Provost Federal College of Education, Kontagora.
